Name: BachelorBrad Birthday: 4/26/1980 Gender: Male
Interests: I love Jesus and want to be more like Him each day. I also love photography, camping and hiking and just hanging out with close friends. I enjoy meeting new people too, although not more than a few at a time. If I get into large crowds where I don't know anyone, I get nervous and retreat into my shell. I can be extremely shy but depending on circumstances, I can really get going and talk 100 miles and hour. I can hold conversations with myself for hours if need be...it's a great way to keep from getting bored. : ) I love life and see everyday as a new adventure in which you never know what might happen. Anyhoo, I gotta go. My parole officer wants to use the computer. Occupation: Marriage Counselor, Cabinet ma

| Random thoughts on our visit to the teachers in Copeland
Bushed, wiped, worn out, and just plain trashed. These are the words that best describe my current state of existence. However the reason for this well justifies the jello-like consistency of my bone matter. “Worcation” Please allow me to explain. A week ago on Thursday evening, Bruce, myself, and my brother Max headed out to a small town named Copeland in the great desert of nothingness which is Kansas. Now lest anyone should become offended, I love the locals in Kansas! Never before has my seriously flawed character and mental handicap been looked over as a non-issue. I must say the I have hardly every before met such gracious, down to earth, and lovable folk. Should you be passing through a private homestead on foot, they will most likely invite you in for tea rather than breaking out the sawed off shot gun as in certain other parts of the country. The scenery is very monotonous when you happen to be on a mission to get somewhere but traffic is light and the traveling easy...so long as you’ve got some close friends with you. But then again, here is a direct quote off a voice memo I made at 1:55 in the afternoon: “Nowhere else on earth can you be driven to sheer boredom like you can in Kansas...just the utter desolation and hopelessness is so completely depressing, I feel like shooting myself” Anyhoo, as I was saying, we left the Hostetler residence in my car at 9:35 on Thursday evening. It was really nice having 3 of us to take turns driving. Things went well for the most part but we did have an incident with a cop in Kansas. Cops are the only people in Kansas that aren’t so nice but the reason for that is because they are hired from out of state. Kansas is not allowed to supply its own cops since the locals wouldn’t have the heart to give anyone a ticket. So here we are driving along through Kansas city when suddenly the left lane turned into an off-ramp. Max was driving at the time but couldn’t swing over due to a cop car right beside us and other complications. It was kind of a harry situation. So anyhow we took the exit and suddenly the cop decides to follow us. He followed us around town almost up until we got out on the freeway again. We were spared from other such weird happenings the rest of the trip.
Upon our arrival at the school compound, we walked out to the school to discover Connie, Hellen, and Melody feverishly working to finish up a to-do list the size of Mt. Everest. Ok, so it wasn’t that huge...it was bigger or so it appeared to the teachers. But anyhoo, time was getting short and it was going to be a bit harry trying to finish everything up before the evening Grad program. Enter the three stooges... We guys were more than willing to help but the long trip had taken its toll on us and we were without energy. Enter Frappe... So we guys headed over to the house and made six frappes...one for each one of us and the teachers as well. Then we got to it...Max worked on report cards while Bruce and I printed up a bunch of certificates awarding various school kids for a wide variety of character qualities. This was actually quite a blast and I had fun re-wording some of the certificates with more accurate though less politically correct terminology. (Just one of many reasons I would never be a good teacher) It escapes me to remember if we got everything done that we needed to before the evening program but I will not easily forget Hellen’s counting difficulties. I was helping her put some certificate awards in frames and according to her there were supposed to be 7 certificates. When only 6 showed up...the great distress began and I ended up looking through the envelopes in which they had come many times over and counting the certificates over again and again. Shoot I bet I’m even qualified to count ballots in Florida now. Anyhoo, to make a long story short, we find out that there are only supposed to be 6 of these particular certificates. Don’t know where Hellen came up with 7 but I can only imagine how things will go when she has 11 kids running around her house. : ) “Uh Honey, where’s Tony? He’s not in the van with the others and I can’t find him for the life of me! Oh Dearest, we don’t have a Tony...we have only 11 kids not 12...remember?” Sorry, couldn’t resist that one. But no worries, I’m being totally facetious. The awards ceremony that evening went surprisingly well considering the fact that I was present. I had to shoot some photos of that and of course being seriously uneducated as to the proceedings of the program, my shots were nothing short of fabulous...NOT. After all the awards were given and such like, all the school children left to go outside and suddenly I was left in the sanctuary with a deathly quite group of parents and teachers. I must admit it was kinda creepy and I was half expecting some sort of concentration camp-like proceedings in which not everyone would walk out alive. I threatened to make a break for the door but decided that my chances of survival would be better if I kept silent. Thankfully, I was among those that were allowed to see another day...otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this right now.
Oh I almost forgot to mention where we stayed during our time in Kansas. We stayed at the Riemer Residence and what wonderful gracious hosts they were! I must give a shout out to little Sara for giving up her room for me and also to Ben and Eva for staying up and chatting with us into the wee hours of the morning. They truly did a wonderful job of putting up with us. Also thanks to little Victor and Sara for the free entertainment and tour of the property. I also enjoyed their proud declarations of the various posts, buildings, and vehicles that they had wrecked into with the golf cart. What fun! Anyhoo, I want to publicly thank the Riemer’s for having us even though their place will never be the same again. I am quite sure that they are scarred for life and will never allow us back again.
Anyhoo, time is running short and suddenly I am realizing that I have much to do to get ready for another wedding this weekend so I had better shut this down. I guess I will just leave you clueless regarding some of the other fantastic times that we had together doing various activities such as eating out, late night talks, singing, shooting pics, chasing pheasants and rabbits, walking through town, eating at the ice-cream shop, and such like. Possibly later on I’ll post video from our trip but I won’t make any promises. May thou be blessed richly and mayest thou forgive me for making a complete waste of thine precious time, Brad
